That all development projects and programs planned and undertaken by governments, international organizations, UN branches and NGOs are essential to prevent and end poverty, hunger, malnutrition, disease, deprivation, exploitation and abuse. Bangladesh is by no means a poor country, rather it has been kept poor and weak. Bangladesh is a country rich in honest, hardworking farmers, laborer's, fertile alluvial soil, natural gas, mineral resources, rivers, reservoirs and forests. ARBAN believes that the people of Bangladesh are not poor and powerless because of lack of resources, but because of their lack of ownership, rights and access to resources, the number of poor and powerless people in the country is high.

Chief Executive, ARBAN
